Seven years after Michael Jackson’s death, his secret lover Shana Mangatal is set to release a tell-all book revealing their relationship… and the truth about his child molestation scandal.
But before the book comes out on August 29 – on what would have been his 58th birthday – Shana has opened up to New Idea. After meeting Michael in 1988 when she was a young fan, Shana maintains they remained friends until his death. And despite rumours surrounding his sexuality, she says he undeniably ‘loved women’ and was ‘not asexual’.
‘It was 20 years of different encounters and intimate phone conversations, and he cast me in two of his short films,’ she reveals.
But despite their on-again, off-again romance, the pair never took their relationship public.
Shana admits she always wanted a formal relationship with the Bad singer, but acknowledges the timing was simply off. ‘There was a time when it progressed to the next level, but the reason it ended was because of his marriage.’
