A Melbourne couple’s car was stolen form their driveway with their five-year-old child inside.
Police received the call from terrified parents around 6.30 a.m. Thursday morning when their black BMW was taken, their child in the back seat.
The car was spotted 30 minutes later at Norlane, in Geelong and police pursued. It was stopped on Plume Street and the driver ran from the car.
Police spokeswoman Natalie Webster said in a statement the child was unharmed, The Herald Sun reports. The incident was described as ‘the most serious child stealing event possible.’
