Football star Kieren Jack’s mum, Donna, has taken such a bitter dislike to her son’s girlfriend, TV producer Charlotte Goodlet, because she believes the blonde beauty is a ‘gold digger’, according to well-placed sources.
Donna and her ex footballer husband Garry now see little of their son, after he was reportedly forced to choose between his parents or his girlfriend – whom they see as being not right for their boy.
‘The family think she is not good enough for her son; that she’s a gold digger,’ reports football insider Danny Weidler in The Age. ‘It’s all a bit rich.’
The revelations come amid New Idea’s exclusive report today that financial strains have also played a major part in the deterioration of Kieren’s relationship with his parents.
‘Garry taught his son how to play footy and he now thinks he deserves eternal gratitude,’ confirms Weidler. ‘That belief is central to his strained relationship with his son.’
