He’s the former Sydney deputy major who made headlines after throwing a wedding valued at more than $1 million in Sydney’s suburbs last year.
But now it seems Salim Mehajer is spending his dollars more wisely.
The controversial builder and property developer has released a photo from his recent 30th birthday, revealing he celebrated the milestone occasion rather quietly.
Posting the photograph to his Facebook page, Salim is seen smiling at the camera behind a birthday cake topped with trimmings.
It’s a far cry from the extravagant party he staged, which is believed to have cost him $50,000, for his wife Aysha’s 30th birthday in March.
That bash featured an appearance by US rapper Tyga, Kylie Jenner’s on-off boyfriend.
Salim also helped celebrate his sister Khadijeh ‘Kat’ Mehajer’s bridal shower recently.
His wedding to Aysha featured four helicopters, various luxury sports cars, the unauthorised closing of an entire street, and various motorbikes.
