The second mother killed in the Dreamworld ride tragedy has this afternoon been officially named as Sydneysider Cindy Low – who perished along with three other people when the Thunder River Rapids ride malfunctioned yesterday.
The other mum was this morning named as Kate Goodchild, 32. It’s believed she was travelling with her young daughter, who survived the accident.
Miraculously, Cindy’s 10-year-old son was also flung free as their ride flipped over on a conveyer belt, trapping all four adults. He is now reported to be in hospital, where, as well as dealing with his injuries, the Courier Mail reports he is also facing the grief and horror of apparently having witnessed what happened to his beloved mother.
It’s believed that Cindy’s husband and young daughter were riding in a separate car at the time of the tragedy, after fate led them to split up as they boarded the ride.
Meanwhile, the brother of late Canberra man Roozi Araghi – who died along with his partner Luke Dorsett – has spoken out about his grief at the passing of his ‘most loved baby brother’.
Simon Araghi wrote, ‘On behalf of my brother Dory and my family, I confirm the loss of our most loved ‘baby’ brother Roozi and his partner Luke and our lovely Kate.
‘We appreciate all your support and would prefer to keep some privacy. We are all in shock and mourning. Thank you and much love.’
