A 50-year-old woman in the United States has been charged with the murder of her 33-year-old daughter after she allegedly killed her by forcing a crucifix down her throat.
Authorities have confirmed that, on arriving at the house of Juanita Gomez, they found her daughter Geneva Gomez’s body lying on the floor with a large crucifix on her chest.
Juanita allegedly confessed to police that she punched her daughter in the throat several times and pushed the religious medallion down her throat until she saw blood because she suspected she was ‘possessed by the devil’.
When questioned by police over the bruising and swelling on her daughter’s arms and hands, Juanita allegedly told police Geneva was fighting her attempts to remove Satan from her body.
The accused has previously spent time in jail for gun- and drug-related charges.
