Tanami Nayler, 22, was playing the game in Melbourne at around 2 a.m before she was hit while on the pedestrian crossing.
Nicholas Davison, who was allegedly driving a stolen rental car, was later charged for the hit and run.
Nayler’s phone was in her pocket at the time of the accident. The car dragged her body about 70 metres.
Her cousin Joshua Leisk told the Herald Sun, ‘It’s one of those senseless things.’
