Viewers watched on as Ninja Warrior contestant Paul Cashion was disqualified on last night's episode of the show.
As the contestant made his way across the first obstacle - a challenge that saw competitors hop from platform to platform above a pool of water - his foot unfortunately slipped in. But being hearing impaired, Cashion couldn’t hear the siren that signaled the end of his turn.
Continuing on to the next obstacle, he only realised his dream had come to an end after his stepson, Josh, caught his attention and interpreted for him.
Following his heartbreaking exit from the competition, angry fans have taken to social media to voice their frustrations that the show hadn’t made accommodations for his disability.
Prior to his run, Cashion had told the cameras that he hoped his participation would inspire others.
“I want all deaf people and all people with impairments to see me tonight and think that they can be on the show too,” he said.
