Speaking exclusively to WHO’s TV podcast, Binge List, David said it was a no brainer that he’d take time out from his international career to complete the final season of APTCH – and wrap up his character James Bligh’s story. Caught up in a tangled same-sex love drama in deeply conservative 1950s Australia, there is plenty of scope for major twists.
‘I’ve been in the majority of this season,’ David revealed exclusively to Binge List listeners. ‘They’ve been able to shoot around my schedule which is incredible, and never really happens.
‘I also really wanted to be in this, knowing it was the last season.
‘The show has always been really important for me. It was the first thing I did when I got out of drama school.
‘People here really are like a family, and have formed really true, genuine bonds. So, to see the character out in the way that they’re intended is really important for me.’
The Binge List team were excited to hear all about David’s return, with WHO TV expert Gavin Scott telling listeners, ‘As an original cast member it’s great that he’s come back’
Adds co-host Clare Ridgen, ‘David Berry is a big deal now, he’s in Outlander. He’s the nest international heartthrob. So, it’s pretty cool that he’s returned.’
