After losing five stone in total - now weighing a healthier 13st - Casey is finally able to walk again and says she now has a new lease of life.
Casey, from Weston-super-Mere, Somerset said: "At my heaviest, I was 18 stone and I'm only 5ft 2inches - my weight was really taking it's toll on my body.
"I have always been quite curvy but my weight increased a lot when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 30.
"I became very low and wasn't really looking after myself properly; I never thought about what I was putting in my mouth.
"As well as this, the medication I was on was causing me to gain weight as well, particularly from the steroids.
"I didn't realise how bad it had got until the doctor said I was at risk of having a heart attack.
"I'd become so reliant on having to use a wheelchair - the only time I wasn't really using it when I was in the house."
Following their concerns, the doctor referred Casey to WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) and two years on, she has lost over five stone and no longer needs her wheelchair.
Casey added: "The combination of both my weight and my rheumatoid arthritis was putting so much strain on my joints that I was in a wheelchair the majority of the time.
"Following my weight loss, I feel like a completely different person and I'm over the moon I no longer have to rely on a wheelchair to get around.
"I still have arthritis, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be; I now only get the odd flare up compared to constantly being in pain before."
Casey now snacks on WW chocolate instead of crisps and cake and aims to lose another two stone.
She added: "I've learnt so much about myself since WW as its not all focused on loosing weight - I feel there is no pressure from the WW coaches.
"We don't even have to weigh if we choose not to, we can just go to the workshops to be supported."
