Yesterday's Golden Globe Awards saw Bohemian Rhapsody's Rumi Malek take home the coveted award for Best Actor in a Drama category.
And just moments after his moving acceptance speech, presenter Nicole Kidman took to the stage to announce the winner for Best Picture (Drama).
The veteran actress revealed that Bohemian Rhapsody won the Golden Globe, beating out crowd favourites, including Black Panther and A Star Is Born.
Malek, who played Freddie Mercury in the biopic, went onstage with the cast and crew to accept the prestigious award.
And that's when the awkwardness unfolded...
Malek attempts to get Kidman's attention not once, but twice, and gets brushed off both times by the star.
However, the awkward interaction didn't appear to put a dampener on Malek's night, with the star delivering a heartfelt speech to the audience.
"Thank you to Freddie Mercury, for giving me the joy of a lifetime," he said onstage.
"I love you, you beautiful man. This is for, and because of, you, gorgeous."
