WWE legend Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler has revealed for the first time that he suffered a stroke while having sex with his fiancee Lauryn McBride.

The 68-year-old famously went into cardiac arrest live on air during an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2012, and has now opened up about having a stroke just three weeks before WrestleMania 34 – an event that saw him commentate the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Speaking of the incident on his Dinner With The King podcast, Lawler reveals his latest medical scare came when he and partner Lauryn were ‘expressing love for each other in a certain way.’

He said, ‘I got up and I said something to Lauryn and I didn’t really feel anything, and she said, ‘What did you say?’

‘And I realised then that whatever I said didn’t sound right, and then she looked at me — we made eye contact — and she said, ‘Oh my God, Jerry, go look in the mirror.’

‘I walked around to the bathroom and I look in the mirror, and the whole right side of my mouth is drooping all the way down to my chin.’

Lawler then realised he couldn’t speak, with Lauryn screaming: ‘Oh my God, you’re having a stroke.’

The incident occurred on March 21, and the wrestler was unable to speak for over two days. He made a full recovery and was back to call the action at WrestleMania last weekend.
