31-year-old tourist Andrea Cristea had her life support switched off yesterday after suffering critical injuries from the incident.

The woman’s partner Andrei Burnaz – who was planning to propose on the same day the terrifying ordeal took place – has released an emotional statement on behalf of her family.

The statement reads: “After fighting for her life for over two weeks, our beloved and irreplaceable Andreea – wonderful daughter, sister, partner, dedicated friend and the most unique and life loving person you can imagine – was cruelly and brutally ripped away from our lives in the most heartless and spiritless way.”
