Other women were not impressed.

Taking to the parenting forum Mumsnet, a wife has asked for advice on whether she is being unreasonable questioning her husband over his stealing habit.

Her post read, ‘DH [Darling Husband] has started to steal from self service tills. Mostly small items such as chocolate bars or cans but today he came home with a new waller! He bragged about how the wallet was free.’

The woman also explained how her husband would sometimes pay for one item but take three. The wife also details how she confronted her partner about his habit, and he was incredibly defensive.

‘I basically told him he was shoplifting and we had a big argument over it. He said, ‘everybody does it’ and that I’m no better as we were under-charged at a restaurant once and didn’t say anything.

‘I told him he could easily be caught but he doesn’t see the big deal in it.’

The woman then finishes by asking, ‘Am I being unreasonable?’

It turns out – most women agreed that she wasn’t being unreasonable.

‘He’s a thief – plain and simple,’ one user wrote.

‘It’s shoplifting and if he keeps doing it then he’ll get caught sooner or later,’ another added.

Some even went as far as saying she should leave him.

‘I couldn’t stay with someone who did this,’ one user wrote.

While another added, ‘I wouldn’t want to be married to a thief.’
