Consumers have been warned that Southern Highland Organic Eggs have been recalled over fears they are contaminated with salmonella.
The urgent recall includes both the six and 12 pack of the eggs with dates up to and including May 9.
The contaminated eggs are available at Woolworths in New South Wales and Victoria, as well at IGA stores across NSW and other independent retailers in the state.
‘Consumers should not eat this product,’ the NSW Food Authority warned.
‘Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,’ the statement continues.
Full refunds are available for the contaminated product.
