Shocking footage has emerged of the sickening moment a theme park ride in India snapped in two, sending those onboard flying into the air and leaving two people dead.

The video, which has been posted to social media, shows the Discovery ride at Kankaria Adventure Park in Ahmedabad splitting in half while carrying 31 people.
In the footage, the people on board plummet to the ground below in what has been described as a truly nightmarish situation.
Fire department officials who rushed to the scene confirmed that two people had died, and 15 were seriously injured.
According to park officials, the ride was just four years old and was regularly maintained.
Director Ghanshyam Patel said in a statement: “All our equipment as well as maintenance certificates, police certification, fire NOC and other documents are in order.
We have had continuous inspection and clearance from the authorities for the past four years and we have submitted the same to the police.”
Mr Patel was unable to explain how the ride broke.
Investigations into the accident remain ongoing.
