Police are searching for a woman who has abandoned her baby with a heartbreaking note.
The woman is believed to have given birth inside an airport toilet at Tucson International Airport in Arizona in the US on January 14.
The note reads: “Please help me. My mum had no idea she was pregnant. She is unable and unfit to take care of me. Please get me to the authorities so they can find me a good home. I just want what is best for him and it is not me. Please. I’m sorry.”
Police are describing the mystery woman as being in her mid-20s and was wearing black leggings and a coat.
The baby is now in the custody of the Arizona Department of Child Safety.
