Fans are convinced they know which team will win The Voice 2023

As The Voice Australia continues to surprise and delight fans, with powerhouse ballads and soulful sounds, there’s one question that is weighing heavily on fans’ minds: who will win?

In 2022, it was PE teacher Lachie Gill that led coach Rita Ora’s team to victory. The 25-year-old took home a cool $100,000 and a highly coveted music deal with Universal Music Australia. 

A year prior it was Bella Taylor Smith who won as part of Guy Sebastian’s team, with Guy’s younger brother Chris taking home the win for Team Kelly [Rowland] in 2020. 

But what about Season 12 of the hit reality television singing competition?

Who will win The Voice Australia 2023?

Fans have hedged their bets behind Charlie Pittman (Team Guy) as the clear finalist to win with odds currently listed at $1.65. 

He is followed by Tarryn Stokes (Team Rita) with odds listed at $4.00 in second place and Ethan Beckton (Team Jason) in third with odds listed at $5.00. 

Unfortunately for Ezra Williams (Team Jess), she is currently in last place, with odds to win currently sitting at $6.00.

Curiously, in a poll of New Idea readers, 47% believed that Tarryn would be the one to win the reality singing competition. 

She was followed by Charlie who received 30% of the vote, Ethan who received 13% of the vote and finally Ezra in fourth and final place at 11%.

Prior to the finalists being revealed, Guy Sebastian was the coach who fans thought would lead their singer to stardom with odds of $1.50. 

He was followed by newcomer judge Jason Derulo and Aussie icon Jessica Mauboy who both had odds listed at $4.33 to win.  

Despite leading Lachie Gill to victory in 2022, coach Rita Ora was at the back of the pack with odds listed at $8.50.

According to Guy, he and Jess refused to “have another year where an international wins.”

“We need to bring the crown back to home turf,” he said in a recent episode. “It’s like the Ashes – doesn’t belong in England, belongs right here.”
