The father of Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, 52-year-old Kevin Jonas has been battling colon cancer since March.
He has opened up about his private battle for the first time reports Billboard.
“They were shaken,” he recalled of how his sons –including Frankie, 16, took the news.
“Frankie came home from school, Nick came from L.A., Joe flew directly from Japan… They cancelled their schedules, moved important things.”
Kevin underwent surgery in New York and is now getting ready to undergo chemotherapy back home in North Carolina.
The Jonas brothers have not commented on their father’s battle, however their father revealed he has shared the news as a warning to others.
“There’s also a feeling of responsibility to others,” he told NBC.
