In a heartbreaking twist of events, it has been revealed that the boyfriend of the woman who plunged into the River Thames as a terror suspect charged into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge was planning to propose that very day.
In what can only be described as a miracle, 29-year-old Andreea Cristea was pulled from the river alive after she fell into the water during the attack.
The Romanian tourist was in London with partner Andrei Burnaz to celebrate his birthday when the horrifying events unfolded.
According to the BBC, the architect was set to receive a marriage proposal from Andrei later that day.
She remains unconscious in a London hospital, the Romanian ambassador, Dan Mihalache, told BBC News.
He described her condition as ‘stable, but in a good direction’.
‘It’s a miracle she survived’, added
;She was practically thrown into the Thames.’
Mr Burnaz suffered a fractured foot during the attack as the pair walked in the direction of the London Eye.
