WATCH: Texas Walmart shooting suspect identified as 20 people confirmed dead in another mass shooting

Heartbreaking.

The man accused of shooting dead 20 people in a Texas mall shooting has been identified as Patrick Crusius.

The 21-year-old is being accused of opening fire at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas on Saturday morning.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has confirmed 20 are dead but that number may rise as 26 victims remain in hospital. 

Abbott revealed the shooting at a Walmart was “one of the deadliest days in Texas history”.

Crusius was taken into custody “without incident” two hours after the shooting began.

Walmart said in a statement: “We’re in shock over the tragic events at Cielo Vista Mall … We’re praying for the victims, the community and our associates, as well as the first responders.”
