Disturbing new details about the man who allegedly ploughed through a busy street full of pedestrians in Melbourne’s CBD yesterday have come to light.
The alleged perpetrator, 26-year-old Dimitrious Gargasoulas claimed to be ‘god himself in a human bodily form,’ in a series of terrifying Facebook rants leading up to the January 20 attack.
On January 9, , he wrote in all capital letters: ‘Today the gods have given me wisdom and knowledge. They have awoken me. I have my answers also vision of a future that is clouded the work of Satan to face me and fail over and over amuses me rather than shake me to the ground.’
Gargasoulas wrote that good will always prevail over evil’ and that was ‘exactly what’s to come in the following days weeks and so forth’, writing that ‘somebody tried to f*** me … well that someone is about to find out how to do it properly’, adding ‘I’ll take you all out just me you need a army to take me and so far you have presented half a army of useless wait until you see mine!’
Continuing his terrifying rant, Gargasoulas – originally from South Australia said:
‘For all those who know me …. know I’m a genuine good sexy young guy and that I’ve experienced days and nights I thought I’d never experience in my life since I got to melbourne well guess what … I’ve been blessed … and now your f*****.’
As well as talking about connections between Scientology, the Illuminati, and the Free Masons, he also claimed to be a ‘Greek Islamic Kurdish’ and a follower of Yazdanism, the native religion of the Kurds before the arrival of Islam, also know as the ‘cult of Angels’.
Yesterday police confirmed that a child – believed to be an infant – was one of the people killed after Gargasoulas allegedly deliberately drove into pedestrians in congested Bourke Street in the heart of Melbourne.
Two others are believed to be a man and a woman in their thirties. The victims are believed to be unrelated.
The incident saw at least 31 people injured as the speeding car ploughed through people enjoying their lunch hour.
‘Police shot the man who was the sole occupant of the vehicle and he received bullet wounds,’ read a police statement.
‘Police understand the incident is linked to a stabbing that took place in Windsor early this morning (20 January) involving parties known to one another.’
