Police have locked down Sydney Harbour Bridge as an unauthorised man has climbed the iconic structure, bringing early morning traffic to a standstill.
Police rescue crews are currently trying to help the man down after he scaled the bridge early this morning.
He was seen later in the morning sitting inside a metal infrastructure while listening to music. There was also a bicycle left in the middle of the road.

All northbound and one southbound traffic lanes are closed to traffic, while the speed limit has been reduced to 40km/h.
The Habour Tunnel is currently open, with motorists advised to check for updates.

A police operation is underway after a man was seen climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge shortly before 4.30am. Road and rail traffic is affected with several lanes closed as a precaution. Police are attempting to speak with the man now.
