NBC has identified the shooter as Nasim Aghdam, a vegan YouTuber who believed the video streaming platform was ‘discriminating’ and ‘filtering’ her content.

In a video posted in 2017, Aghdam says her channel used to get lots of views but after being filtered by the company, it received fewer views.

In an eery video uncovered by the NBC, Aghdam tells her viewers that YouTube deiced to filter her ‘Ab Workout Video’, that she claims ‘had nothing bad in it.’

Aghdam further claims the video platform giant decided to filter out her videos because she was gaining fame.

When contacting support at YouTube HQ, Aghdam was reportedly told her videos had ‘inappropriate content.’

Aghdam goes on to question why singers and famous people like Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj have so many views when their videos have inappropriate content as well.

As the video comes to an end, Aghdam claims that the video platform is filtering vegan activists like herself to silence them.
