She has spent the past few weeks living the high life in a five-star hotel with staff at her beck and call.
With a total of two months on set in a swanky European destination alongside minimum filming commitments, television star Sophie Monk has plenty of time to sip cocktails by the pool.
Indulging in expensive spa treatments, sightseeing around the island of Majorca in Spain and seemingly never-ending boozy lunches with pals, there is no doubt Sophie hit the jackpot with her new gig.
‘She hasn’t really met any of the cast,’ says our spy. ‘She just turns up for filming a couple of times a week and is gone again. It’s one big holiday and they treat her like a superstar – she is loving it.’
But while the Love Island host has been flaunting her lavish lifestyle on social media, her taste for the finer things in life has seen her rack up an eye-watering $300,000 bill.
Chauffeur and personal security – $70,000
Having previously worked for First Lady Michelle Obama, Sophie’s security detail and driver, Pepe, comes with an exclusive price tag. In charge of driving Sophie to and from the film set as well as anywhere else that tickles her fancy, silver fox Pepe often acts as a translator too.
Long lunch dates with pals – $5000
Hardly a day goes by where Sophie isn’t spotted with her entourage at a trendy new lunch spot with award-winning chefs and breathtaking views. Often enjoying the most expensive items on the menu, lobster, oysters and Champagne are regular features.
Five-star hotel – $25,000
Staying at the luxury Zafiro Palace Alcudia, with prices starting at $400 per night, no wonder Sophie is making the most of relaxing by the indoor and outdoor pools, along with daily dips in the Jacuzzi. The hotel also boasts four themed restaurants to entertain her pals.
