A man who arranged for an illegal sex doll in the likeness of a child to be sent to him from Hong Kong has been charged after customs discover the sickening purchase.
Customs officers at the UKs Stanstead Airport intercepted the package and contacted police, who followed the address on the package to 33-year-old Simon Glerum.
When they searched his home they discovered indecent sexual material on his computer involving children.
Glerum was arrested and charged with importing a prohibited or obscene article – the doll – as well as three counts of making or downloading indecent images of children.
He pleaded guilty to five separate counts of sex crimes against children and is awaiting sentencing.
