Police who found human remains in a remote part of the US on Saturday believe them to be those of missing Seinfeld actor, Charles Levin.

According to AP News, the 70-year-old was reported missing on July 8 by his son, after he hadn’t been heard from in several days.
On Friday, search and rescue crews narrowed down a search area based on an emergency mobile phone ping.
A local Illinois Valley resident then located Charles’s car in a remote and almost impassable road on Saturday.
The remains of his dog were found in the car, then Troopers from the Oregon State Police searching steep and rugged terrain found the human remains.
“Based on the circumstances, there is a high probability that the remains are those of Charles Levin. The final identification of the remains will be completed by the Medical Examiner,” said the Grants Pass Public Safety Department.
Charles played a mohel, who performs the Jewish ceremonial circumcision, in the 1993 Seinfeld episode ‘The Bris’. In the episode, Levin’s character accidentally cuts Jerry’s finger.
He also appeared on Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, The Golden Girls and Doogie Howser, M.D.
While his movie credits include Annie Hall, This is Spinal Tap, Manhattan and The Golden Child.
According to reports he moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, after retiring from acting in the late 1990s.
