Actress Nicole Eggert took to Twitter over the weekend to accuse actor Scott Baio of molesting her when she was a 14-year-old child star, which in turn has sparked a heated online war.
Eggert tweeted, ‘Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep.’
The two starred together in 80s sitcom, Charles In Charge.
Eggert’s tweet came after Baio tweeted supporting Donald Trump, the New York Post reports.
‘It started when I was 14,’ Eggert claimed. ‘Wasn’t a one-time deal.’
Since then, Baio fired back by creating a Facebook live responding directly to Eggert’s claims.
In the 16-minute video, Baio says: ‘The reason I’m doing Facebook Live is because no one can edit me…This is the truth.’
Baio explains that Eggert first made false claims against him in 2012, when she was promoting her upcoming reality series.
Baio has also since posted a letter written by Eggert in which she tries to pitch her story to the Dr. Oz Show, and her accusations change dramatically. The Dr. Oz Show declined to go ahead with the planned show due to holes in the actresses story.
Baio also claims he asked Eggert to take her accusations to law enforcement for it to be dealt with properly, to which she has declined.
Eggert is yet to respond formally to Baio’s Facbeook live.
