She’s been relishing her freedom on social media and now convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has shared some happy news with her 194,000 Instagram fans.
The Australian posted to her account on her account last week, announcing the arrival of a new family member.
‘Meet Lucille. She looks like a little old man, but is only almost 3 months old,’ Schapelle captioned a picture of her holding an adorable black and white dog.
She went on to explain the pooch in question is a ‘Foxy x Maltese’.
‘Welcome to the Family,’ Schapelle – who has been recovering from knee surgery – concluded her post. ‘#shegoingtobeacharacter.’
The happy news delighted Schapelle’s fans on social media.
‘How gorgeous and puppy cuddles just rock,’ one commenter wrote.
‘Canines really are the best companions. They give their hearts unconditionally,’ another wrote.
The adorable new addition to the family is perhaps the latest sign that Schapelle is feeling broody.
Two months ago, her social media accounts set the rumour mill on fire with whispers she may be pregnant.
In October, Schapelle posted a photograph of herself sitting in a giant bird’s nest – in the Bendugul region of Bali – alongside the simple, cryptic caption: ‘Nesting.’
One commenter posted: ‘Is this a hint you’re pregnant Darl?’
While another asked: ‘Bun in the oven?’
Another cheeky fan even speculated that Schapelle could be expecting twins, writing: ‘Laying an egg? or 2.’
