He’s the former deputy mayor whose relationship breakdown made headlines across Australia.
But now it appears as if disgraced businessman Salim Mehajer may have found himself a new love interest.
In a post to his 192,000 Instagram followers on Sunday, Mr Mehajer, 31, shared a photograph of a woman who appeared to be sitting across from him at a table.
The picture of the brunette – who had perfectly manicured pink nails and seemed to be scrolling through her mobile phone – was captioned with four red love heart emojis.
But fans hoping to get a glimpse of the mystery woman in Mr Mehajer’s life were left disappointed, as he disguised her identity by placing another emoji – this time of a monkey – over her face.
He appeared to have blurred a distinguishing mark on the woman’s left wrist.
Mr Mehajer – who famously married his now estranged wife Aysha Learmonth in a so-called ‘wedding of the century’ – announced in September that he had launched a wedding and event planning business.
‘Exciting news – it’s been over a year in the making, we the Mehajer family have decided to release our very own product line and services,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘Whilst we are all very occupied with our day to day jobs, with our skill of creative, we make use of our education and passion to dream as we aim to take our hobby to the next level.’
