Princess Mary has revealed what looks like a baby bump for the first time, showing off her growing belly during a tennis match in Denmark.
The Aussie royal proudly displayed her new body last week, before heading on a romantic holiday around Europe with husband Prince Frederik and their four children.
Mary’s baby bump debut comes after weeks of speculation that the Tassie princess is expecting her fifth child.
Last month, the 45-year-old sparked health fears when she was spotted looking peaky and putting her hand to her head at an official royal function, prompting Fred to plead with his wife to slow down.
But now, Mary seems to have put any morning sickness and health concerns behind her, emerging as a picture of happiness while she played a casual game of tennis.
‘The palace is yet to confirm the news, but there’s no denying that Mary had quite the bump on display during her tennis game,’ revealed a Copenhagen royal correspondent.
‘There has been a lot of buzz around the palace for weeks now regarding the rumours that Mary is expecting her fifth child. All the senior royal officials say an announcement is imminent.
‘But she was absolutely glowing during her sporting match. She kept things slow and didn’t push herself at all, it was just a gentle fun session on the court. But it was good to see Mary looking so well after her health scare a few weeks ago. A few weeks’ rest seems to have done her the world of good.’
Sources tell New Idea that Mary and Fred decided to try for another baby after their six-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine settled into school.
And while the royal mum is still busy preparing to take over the Danish throne when Queen Margrethe steps down, she’s confident she can handle all the new responsibility.
‘Mary is determined to be a mum and a Queen, even with a new baby,’ says the palace source.
