BREAKING: Mick Jagger to undergo shock heart surgery

Our thoughts are with him

Sir Mick Jagger is set to undergo major heart surgery this week after cancelling the upcoming Rolling Stones’ tour, reports claim.

The 75-year-old icon is slated to have valve replacement surgery to fix damages in his heart after doctors told him he was unfit to go on stage, according to Daily Mail.

Sir Mick will reportedly have his operation at a New York City hospital in the next few days.

The band had been preparing for their nine week “No Filter” tour of the US and Canada which would have seen them play to more than a million fans across 17 sold-out venues.

But despite his health woes, the father-of-eight is expected to make a full recovery thanks to his strict diet and military-style exercise regimen.

Per Daily Mail, the legendary rocker is said to be “meticulous” about his wellbeing to the point that he runs up to eight miles a day, eats only organic whole foods and regularly takes classes in yoga, kickboxing, ballet and meditation.

Jagger took to Twitter to apologise to fans for the cancellation, writing: “I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour, but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies everyone.”

Since the announcement, Sir Mick has been seen spending family time in Florida with his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, their two-year-old son Devereaux Octavian Basil and Jagger’s 27-year-old fashion model daughter Georgia May from his marriage to Jerry Hall.
