Just one month after Dreamworld tragedy

Footage has emerged online of another terrifying theme park ordeal.

The popular Green Lantern rollercoaster at the gold Coast’s Movie World theme park became stuck on Sunday afternoon – just days after it had passed a safety audit.

The same ride malfunctioned in March 2015 when a wheel component became loose and stranded 13 people.

Firefighters were called to rescue the stranded people at the incident last year, however a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the park had not called for their services this time round.

Although it is not yet known how many people were on the ride, a Movie World spokesperson said the attraction suffered ‘a short delay’ and all guests were off the ride.
