Her family may insist that she is distressed and frightened by her ordeal, however a prisoner sharing the Bogota jail cell with drug accused Cassie Sainsbury paints rather a different story.
An unnamed inmate tells News Corp that Cassie is ‘causing problems amongst other inmates due to the media circus surrounding the 22-year-old and her family making regular visits.
Cassandra wasn’t being treated differently but now that she’s pulled favours and her family are visiting her on a non-visitor day, she’ll start to be treated differently.’
Despite the South Australian’s instance that she has been the victim of bullying whilst in the Colombian prison, a security guard disputes the claims, labelling her as a liar, bully and attention seeker.
‘Cassie likes attention and she knows how to get it,’ the guard – who wished to remain anonymous – told 9 News.
‘She’s not my most difficult prisoner, but I don’t like her lies.’
Cassie has been locked up since she was arrested at El Dorado International Airport on April 11 for possession of 5.8kg of cocaine concealed in 15 headphone boxes.
