An Ohio man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison after raping and impregnating 14-year-old twins and their 12-year-old sister, PEOPLE confirms.
Arnold Perry, 34, pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree felony rape and a third degree felony count of sexual battery, PEOPLE claims.
On Thursday, Judge Maureen Sweeney sentenced Perry to 27 years in prison – two years more than the sentence prosecutors recommended, The Vindicator reports.
According to multiple media outlets, Perry was friends with the victims’ mother and was staying with the family at the time the incidents took place.
The Vindicator reports that one of the alleged victims had an abortion following the attack, while two had to give birth because their pregnancies were too far along.
Assistant prosecutor Jennifer McLaughlin said, ‘These girls will suffer the rest of their lives because of this.’
McLaughlin further claims that Perry had been convicted of similar crimes as a juvenile.
The victims mother has been left to raise two newborns on her own, with no help from Perry or his family, CBS News claims.
