Popular ‘mummy blogger’ Constance Hall has found herself at the centre of an awkward on-air exchange with The Morning Show host, Kylie Gillies .
Constance – who has amassed an army of female followers, affectionately nicknamed her ‘queens’ was on the show to promote her book and her candid approach to motherhood when Kylie called her out for judging women’ despite urging females to support each other online.
Cutting Constance off mid-sentence, Kylie said: ‘For someone who says they don’t like to judge, it sounds like you’re pretty good at judging other people.’
The host then referred to the blogger’s earlier comments about her online musings being an escape for women who are intimidated by other mothers’ body shapes, homes and wealth.
Gillies said: ‘You’re pretty good at judging the people with the perfect homes or the people with the perfect boobs.’
‘I’m not judging them,’ a shocked Constance responded.
‘Oh, you’re not judging them? Right. Okay,’ Ms Gillies responded while holding up her hands defensively.’
Ms Hall said: ‘My sister… her life is beautiful and perfect and I love her to bits. But I don’t want anyone else to be saying their lives should be like that and judging their own lives against that.’
The mum-of-four’s followers took to social media to slam the interview, berating the hosts for being ‘rude’ and ‘disgraceful’.
And while Constance herself initially updated her Facebook status, informing her followers of her ‘s***’ interview, she quickly replaced it with a more upbeat post:
‘Just deleted my post about my s*** interview on The Morning Show, because even though I felt like they wanted to embarrass me, no matter how good it feels to have your support I have to remind myself that this page isn’t for b***hing about anyone.’
