According to police, Jeannine Cherilynn Isom bought hand sanitiser and needle-nose pliers on April 2.

She then took her seven-year-old son into the bathroom and pulled his teeth out using the pliers.

‘She proceeded to use the needle nose pliers to extract both teeth, both of his upper front teeth in his mouth,’ Sgt. Sgt. Cameron Paul from American Fork Police told Good 4 Utah.

‘When she proceeded to extract them, they didn’t come out in one whole piece. There were multiple pieces. So that illustrates that they were still very attached to this child’s mouth.’

The boy’s older brother and a Walmart employee heard his screams coming from the bathroom and ran in to rescue him.

The mother was charged with one count of child abuse.
