Australian woman Candice Hedge is recovering in hospital after having her throat slashed in the London terror attack over the weekend.
Speaking to Fairfax Media, the 31-year-old’s mother Kim Del Toro explained that her daughter was drinking at a bar on Saturday night when jihadis stormed the area.

After being separated from her boyfriend Luke, the Brisbane woman was grabbed from behind by the head, before being stabbed by a knife wielding terrorist.
“She can’t talk,” Del Toro told the publication.
“She’s been stabbed around her neck, her throat. She’s all bandaged up.”
Luke reportedly watched on in horror as the Borough Market bar he worked at was raided about 10pm local time.
“He heard some commotion out the front and went to see what was going on,” Del Toro said.
“He saw some men with knives coming toward them, and he ran back inside to see where Candice was.”
It was then that he saw his waitress girlfriend run towards him, clutching at her bloodied throat.

The couple quickly took an ambulance to St Thomas Hospital, where Hedge underwent emergency surgery.
Thankfully, the stab wound had missed her main arteries and windpipe, ABC reports.
Yesterday, Hedge to Facebook to update her friends and family on her non-life threatening condition.
“Hey everyone, just do you know I’m doing OK,” she wrote.
“Bit of pain but I will survive. Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Love to all.”
