Miley Cyrus, 24, has revealed new details about her break-up with fiancé Liam Hemsworth, 27.
During an interview with Howard Stern, the Younger singer said, ‘I had to. I don’t like it when relationships are two halves trying to make a whole.’
‘So I don’t think that I have that co-dependency,’ she continued. ‘I think people that break up and get back together, that’s awesome.’
‘You get time to be by yourself. You get time to grow up. I think if you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being.’
Miley and the Aussie heartthrob had initially dated for three years, before announcing their engagement the first time around in June 2012, only to split a year later in 2013.
The couple then rekindled their engagement in early 2016, with Miley previously stating of the couple’s time apart, ‘I didn’t know if that was the end of it or know if we’d be back together again, but I knew that wherever I was going, I was going on the right path.’
