The saying ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ has never rung more true in the case of Michelle Obama’s reaction to new First Lady, Melania Trump’s attempt at giving a parting gift.
Hours before he was sworn in as America’s 45th president, Donald Trump and his wife Melania turned up to the White House with a Tiffany & Co. box for the outgoing First Lady, and the internet has gone wild after witnessing the awkward exchange.
‘That’s a present for you,’ a smiling Melania told Michelle, who awkwardly took the box and quickly turned for someone to take it from her so they can have their photo taken together.
Of course, this isn’t the first time the two women have suffered a toe-curling public encounter. – having being pictured making polite chit chat over a cup of tea following Melania’s alleged plagerisation of a speech previously made by Michelle.
