Doctors are warning Melanie Griffith she could be in for a fight after a dangerous recurrence of skin cancer, according to sensational claims published in the US today.
The 60-year-old Working Girl actress was spotted with a wound on the tip of her nose recently – similar to a cancer spot she had in 2015 – with sources allegedly confirming to the National Enquirer that she’s suffering from the potentially serious disease.
“The most dangerous skin cancers are around or on the nose because they can spread deep underneath the skin,” Dr Gabe Mirkin tells the magazine. “Recurrences of nasal skin cancer after removal can be a sign that the cancer has spread to other parts of her body.”
New York physician Dr Stuart Fischer adds: “The fact that it’s back and bigger than before means they didn’t get it all out the first time. Now they’ll have to go back in and or more invasive skin surgery, which will be very difficult on her nose and her appearance.”
Melanie has yet to respond to the Enquirer’s allegations and has not made any recent statement on her health.
