A man who photoshopped his teenage stepdaughters face into pornographic images involving himself has claimed he did so because he was ‘morally outraged’ by her developing sexuality.
Brisbane District Court Judge Leanne Clare has dismissed the man’s claims as ‘implausible’ and has sentenced the man to 12 months behind bars.
The Brisbane court heard the images were created in late 2014, just months after the man was given a suspended sentence for touching the same girls genitalia while she was sleeping.
Using photoshop to digitally add the girl, said to be in her early teens, onto bodies of adult women in sexually compromising positions, plus one image of the young teen engaged in bestiality with a dog, authorities found over 100 images.
The 51-year-old man was arrested in September of 2015.
He has since described the photos as ‘artworks’ and said there was no sexual motivation behind them.
His lawyer, Colin Reid, urged the court to accept the man’s claims, saying he had ‘unusual beliefs’ about promiscuity.
Judge Leanne Clare told the court, ‘On material that I currently have before me, I find your client’s explanation not credible. Perhaps you were jealous of her interest in other people, but what you did was hardly an act of parental concern.’
Judge Clare sentenced the man to two years’ jail but ordered he be released on a good behaviour bond after serving 12 months.
