Former Married At First Sight star Lachlan Rofe has been charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend, after he was accused of “choking and screaming at her” in front of her two-year-old daughter.
Appearing at Penrith local court on Wednesday Rofe pleaded not guilty to one count of common assault against Kasey Williams.
Williams claims Rofe, who was known as Lachlan McAleer on MAFS, attacked her late last year at his property in Cawdor in Sydney’s south-west.

The court heard that Rofe had drunk an entire case of beer throughout the day, and then began screaming at his then girlfriend before chasing her through the house and grabbing her by the neck.
He also reportedly told Williams to “get stuffed, I’m doing it for love.”
It was alleged that the 38-year-old, who appeared on the series Farmer Wants A Wife following his stint on MAFS, had been verbally abusive towards his partner for a number of months.

His lawyers claimed that Williams was extremely jealous that he would regularly receive romantic messages from his fans on his Facebook account.
According to 9News, Rofe was ordered not to approach Williams within 12 hours of drinking or taking drugs.
The case will return to court in July.
