Former ‘9 to 5’ stars Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda reunited on stage at The Emmy Awards to announce the winner in the Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie (Alexander Skarsgard got it for ‘Big Little Lies’).
It’s been 37 years since that movie came out and all three leading ladies looked like they hadn’t aged a bit (thanks no doubt to some cosmetic nip/tucks!)
They carried on the Trump bashing trend at the show.
“Back in 1980 in ‘9 to 5,’ we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Jane said.
“And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Lily chimed in.
Dolly said she was there just to “have fun.”
“Personally, I have been waiting for a ‘9 to 5’ reunion ever since we did the first one,” Dolly said, and then she made a joke about getting a vibrator in her goody bag. “I’m just hoping that I’m going to get one of those ‘Grace and Frankie’ vibrators in my swag bag tonight.”
(Colbert later emerged shaking a box.)
