Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardner’s Channel Nine bosses are reportedly ‘not impressed’ with the new duo’s ratings just one week after their big debut.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the Today Show has failed to beat their Channel Seven breakfast rival Sunrise in the ratings, leaving network officials unimpressed.
And while the official rating period doesn’t start for another two weeks, senior executives are believed to be ‘scrambling for ideas’ on how to grow the show’s audience.
An insider told DailyMail that Nine senior executives ‘expected a closer race’.
‘When the numbers came in there was a bit of shock at Nine,’ the insider told the publication.
