Johnny shared a side-by-side brain scan on Instagram, telling fans that he was “so glad to have beaten this horrible disease.”

The Australian singer shared a 2017 scan of his brain next to a recent one from 2019.

“Exactly two years ago versus today, so glad to have beaten this horrible disease. Thank you for all the support!” Johnny wrote in the caption.

Johnny’s girlfriend Tahnee Sims commented on the post, “Strongest person I know. We got this.”

The Aussie credits his girlfriend for encouraging him to go to the hospital after he experienced painful migraines.

“Without her, I don’t think I’d be here today,” Johnny previously said. “She’s phenomenal. She’s the most incredible person I’ve ever met.”

Johnny’s life was forever altered when doctors discovered his seven-centimetre brain tumour.

In August 2017, the former X Factor contestant had the tumour surgically removed before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Since being cleared of his disease, Johnny has returned to music, releasing his comeback track last month.

The artist told The Morning Show in July, that “Broken Glass” is the “most vulnerable song” he’s ever written.

“It’s very personal for me. It’s loosely about my experiences in the past two or three years,” Johnny told co-hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

Johnny hopes the song is inspirational to those who have experienced an inner struggle.

“It’s a song about being down and out, not necessarily with what I went through with cancer, just anything,” the singer explained.

“Might be depression, might be losing a loved one, anything… when you’re down and out,” Johnny added. “You might need a helping hand to get back up again.”
