Jerry Maren, the last living ‘munchkin’ from the original Wizard Of Oz, has passed away.
The Sun reports Maren died last week at the age of 98.
According to TMZ, Maren was living in San Diego and reportedly suffered from dementia.
In a 2001 interivew, Maren said,’ I’ve done so many things in show business, but people say, ‘You were in The Wizard of Oz?’ It takes people’s breath away.’
Maren landed the role as the green-clothed member of the Lollipop Guild trio, one of the more prominent munchkin parts.
Maren also appeared in Seinfeld, Superman and The Gong Show.
