Police have confirmed the human remains found washed up on a beach near Aireys Inlet, Victoria, belong to missing Melbourne mother Elisa Curry.
Found by a local on Wednesday walking their dog at Point Roadknight, a popular surf spot near Ms Curry’s holiday home, the remains have now been formally identified.
Police have confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious, however the investigation is remaining ongoing.
The 43-year-old was last seen by a neighbour at 10pm at the family’s holiday home in Aireys Inlet, Victoria, on September 30.
When Mrs Curry’s husband, who was attending the AFL game with the couple’s children, arrived at the house the following morning, she was not there.
Police searched extensively for ten days, before scaling back the search.
Our thoughts are with Ms Curry’s family and friends at this difficult time.
