Siobhan Prescott, 25, claims the incident happened while staying at a five-star resort in Cyprus earlier this year.
“The only reason I woke up was because Harper screamed out, otherwise she could have been the next Maddie McCann,” Siobhan told The Sun.
In February, Siobhan was holidaying with her husband and daughter in Cyprus when the maid entered their hotel room.
“I was napping when a maid sneaked into the room and tried to snatch my baby,” she said.
“When I opened my eyes I thought I was dreaming I was in so much shock.”
Siobhan screamed and her partner came running from the balcony.
“He asked what she was doing but she could not speak a word of English, she made a phone call and immediately left the room,” Siobhan said.
Furious, the couple went to speak to reception. The hotel manager told them the maid was attempting to pick her up and “check she was all right.”
“I was naked in the bed, what kind of person walks into a room when a woman is lying naked on the bed? She let herself in with the aim to try and steal our baby.
“I reported it to the police, and the British consulate but no one seems to be listening.”
The maid has reportedly since been fired.
