Gable Tostee murder trial verdict has been announced

After more than three days of jury deliberations

The verdict is in for the trial of Gable Tostee, with the accused found not guilty of murder and not guilty of manslaughter.

The judge criticised a juror for posting information on their social media account during the trail – forcing him to consider the possibility of discharging the jury. He decided however not to do so.

Tostee has been on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court after his date, Warriena Wright, fell from the 14th-floor of the apartment building in 2014.

After more than three days of jury deliberations, the trial has been one of the most closely followed in recent times – creating headlines around the world.
